It has been well over two weeks and it seems like both of our teeny tiny postal experiments have been lost in the postal service, or in the bottom of the postman's bag, forever!
So we don't recommend sending these tiny letters through the post by themselves, make sure you put them inside a larger envelope. We are very happy that these itty bitty letters are enjoyed by many, and we thank everyone who has bought one! There shall be more at the next event, and remember, we can personalise them too!
It was an exciting experiment to do and it's a shame it failed... (and I really put my hopes up to find it in my postbox...)
For a class a few years ago, we had to create stamps and see if they would go through the mail. It worked! Most of our counterfeit stamps made it through the post office to our teacher's house.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a successful experiment, plus saves on the money! I guess the process of checking mail is very quick that they sometimes don't even stamp the stamp, so, hypothetically, it can be used again. It's just unfortunate that our little posties got lost in the postal system... but that won't stop us from carrying out more experiments! Sophie sent me a tea bag in the post, but unfortunately I'm away to see the results in my post box!
